On January 29, the X- Humanoid reached an important milestone—its pilot verification platforms were officially launched, and the 1,000th customer-customized prototype rolled off the line on site. The pilot verification platforms were completed and put into operation in 2025, covering an area of 9,700 square meters. They focus on the needs of embodied intelligence robots for technology validation and application deployment, deploy foundational infrastructure, equip specialized intelligent equipment, and build a complete machine production demonstration line, a joint production line, and a small-batch trial production line. They also feature an embodied intelligence robot testing area and a digital operations and maintenance platform, and are open to enterprises across the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, universities, research institutes, and other institutions, providing one-stop services in six major functions: trial prototyping, performance and process validation, process optimization, functional module assembly and adjustment, complete machine assembly and adjustment, and testing and validation. At present, the platforms have 500 sets of trial production and testing equipment, as well as an annual production capacity of 5,000 units of embodied intelligence robots.
As a key vehicle for future industries explicitly prioritized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the official launch of these platforms marks that China has built a critical bridge in the frontier field of humanoid robots, spanning from technology R&D to product commercialization and from small-batch trial production to preparation for large-scale manufacturing. It injects strong momentum into the high-quality development of China’s humanoid robot industry and also marks that Beijing has taken the lead in establishing a standardized, digital industrial support system in the field of humanoid robot pilot testing services.

Addressing common industry challenges, the pilot verification platforms enable scale-up to mass production.

Currently, the global humanoid robot industry is rapidly moving from R&D toward a new stage of scenario deployment and commercialization exploration. In this process, significant gaps remain in the connection between the innovation chain and the industrial chain, causing many excellent technical prototypes and designs to struggle to be quickly transformed into stable, reliable, mass-manufacturable products due to the lack of specialized, standardized, and efficient pilot testing. This constrains the pace of industrializing innovation outcomes.
The industry pain points are concentrated in four aspects: First, there is a gap in specialized pilot testing services. R&D institutions and startup companies often build their own small-scale trial production lines, which are costly, inefficient, and lacking in professionalism. Second, there is a lack of standardized and normalized production capacity, making it difficult to ensure product consistency and reliability and constraining batch delivery. Third, the full-chain testing system is incomplete, with insufficient verification of performance, processes, and reliability, planting hidden risks for market application. Fourth, there is a lack of data accumulation throughout the product lifecycle, making it impossible to form an iterative closed loop of "R&D-pilot testing-mass production."
In addition, a series of policies recently issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology explicitly propose focusing on future industries such as humanoid robots, accelerating the layout and construction of pilot verification platforms, and improving the inspection, testing, and achievement transformation systems. Against this backdrop, the X- Humanoid, based on its pilot verification platforms, lowers innovators’ hardware thresholds and manufacturing costs by building a small-batch trial production line for embodied intelligence robots, creates a production demonstration line and a joint production line to provide the industry with manufacturing capability support featuring engineering standards and mass-production feasibility, opens testing laboratories to build quality inspection capabilities for complete machines and core components, and finally relies on a digital operation and maintenance platform to accumulate data, providing a data foundation for future mass-production automation, quality prediction, and defect prevention and control, precisely addressing four major industry pain points.

Build full-stack pilot verification capabilities and create a digital demonstration benchmark.

The pilot verification platforms launched this time are modern industrial service platforms integrating "trial production, validation, optimization, and testing" functions. The platforms have built four core functional carriers, including a small-batch trial production line, an embodied intelligence robot production demonstration line, an embodied intelligence robot joint production demonstration line, and a professional testing laboratory, enabling full-chain pilot testing service coverage from core components to complete machines. At the same time, the platforms have established an integrated digital operation and maintenance system. Through a unified master data platform and open interfaces, they break down the collaborative barriers among information flow, logistics flow, and data flow, building an efficient digital pilot testing system from prototype validation to small-batch proofing, significantly shortening the technology iteration cycle.
The platform’s core layout includes several key demonstration lines:
Embodied intelligence robot production demonstration line: Serving embodied intelligence robot products, it establishes a standardized, modular assembly process to achieve highly efficient and highly reliable complete-machine delivery.
Embodied intelligence robot joint production demonstration line: used to produce joints, the key components of embodied intelligence robots. Establish a high-precision, high-stability flexible production line to meet the production needs of different types of joints.
Small-batch trial production line: positioned as a shared platform for universities, research institutes, and startups, primarily undertaking prototyping, assembly, and validation tasks for complete robots and key modules.
At the same time, in response to the key performance verification and system evaluation needs of embodied intelligence robots during R&D, trial production, and deployment, we will build quality inspection capabilities for complete machines and core components, configure corresponding software and hardware testing environments, and deliver test plans that meet technical specification requirements, standardize testing processes and methods, and promote the formation of a set of highly versatile and reusable testing methods and indicator systems, providing authoritative support for robot product quality control and helping drive standardized industry development and high-quality industrial deployment.
More importantly, the platforms are not a simple superposition of physical spaces, but are guided by digital and intelligent concepts throughout. By building an overall architecture for a digital operations and maintenance system, they enable data interconnection among systems through data collaboration and establishes a data storage and management platform. Through a unified master data platform and open interfaces, they achieve the integration of information flow, logistics, and data flow. This ensures seamless data flow and traceability across the entire process—from design data import, process planning, and production execution to testing feedback—truly building an efficient digital pilot testing system that supports embodied intelligence robots from "prototype validation" to "mass manufacturing."

Forging the core cornerstone of the industry, empowering a new era of humanoid robots.

The launch of X- Humanoid’s pilot verification platforms carries value and significance far beyond the completion of a physical facility. It represents a major upgrade in the industry’s public service capabilities, filling the gap in specialized pilot verification platforms in the humanoid robot sector and establishing core industrial infrastructure for Beijing and the entire country. It is also a key hub for a collaborative innovation ecosystem. Through open sharing, the platforms will attract and bring together technology, talent and demand from upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain as well as universities and research institutes, promoting knowledge exchange, technological cooperation and joint efforts to tackle common challenges, and accelerating the formation of a closely collaborative, mutually beneficial industrial innovation cluster.
As an important pillar supporting Beijing’s efforts to build a highland for humanoid robot industrial innovation, the platforms will uphold the concept of openness and sharing, coordinate resources across industry, academia, research and application, continuously improve their pilot testing service capabilities, and drive breakthroughs in core technologies and the collaborative upgrading of the industrial chain. In the future, supported by the pilot verification platforms, the X- Humanoid will actively undertake key national research and development tasks, continuously improve the platforms’ functions, and work hand in hand with partners from all sectors to jointly promote breakthroughs in key core technologies, the emergence of mature products, and the implementation of large-scale applications, injecting strong momentum into the upgrading of China’s intelligent manufacturing and the development of future industries, and contributing solid strength to building a strong nation in science and technology.
